I got this book after seeing Nucky Thompson from Boardwalk Empire fame handing it to his nephew who is eager to join the ‘family business’. The book itself is 1 of 6 about a bootblack. A kid who has a happy go lucky demeanour and great wit which helps him win hearts and get his foot in the right places at the right time. I don’t think I’ll be reading the rest. Just wanted to know why Nucky found that book so important and now know. Big up Nucky for the recommendation.
