The Teaching Of Buddha

Click to get the book or ebook

Mostly same old religious stuff but with lots of stories with morals between the lines. And lots of branches when it comes to disciplines, attitudes and things. Just one questions… is Buddhism different to the Teachings?

The book even has the history of how it spread and who translated what … no wonder there’s like 1000 sects and names for all these peeps. One thing that really hit home was the emphasis on finding the balance… nothing is good, nothing is bad… it just is so stop forming opinions about it kinda thing. Oh well it was a good read and taught me a few more secrets.

Worst bit… what I always feared… not to allow your senses to lure you into temporary happiness e.g. smells, sounds, sights etc. So how’m I meant to get my rush/hit/buzz/etc coz those are the only ways I can enjoy my art?? ESPECIALLY MUSIC!!!! Oh well its gotta be done for the Big G.

  1. You’re still young son. What I suggest is you study the basics of what Buddha taught – forget about the sects and differing opinions – all religions have so called ‘gurus’ who have their own interpretation of things the masters taught – the interpretation that most suits their own interests. But if you study what the Master himself taught – then you have a lot to gain. In my opinion Buddha is the ultimate teacher next to Shiva. The depth to which Mahavir went to study food Buddha did for the mind (the knowledge of yourself). The course you did – Vipassana (or more accurately vipaschana) is only a part of what Buddha taught. As you grow older and Life happens (good, bad and the ugly) and you feel lost – you will find a solution in what Buddha taught.
