Sharknado – The Best Selling, Worst Movie Franchise That Pop Culture Fans Must Watch – SPOILERS ALERT!

(My favorite gifs below)

It all start with me wondering about what happened to the beautiful Tara Reid and seeing her connection to the movies in IMDb. I was reluctant at first because if I start something my OCD makes me finish it even it’s unpleasant.

Well I’m more than glad I did check out the franchise. At first I thought someone got a pack of Shark, weather storm and chainsaw animations and was just trying to be creative or some concept spoof. It’s cheese, corny, full of bad puns and other shake-your-head scripts that it becomes very very good. What I loved about it was the acting was so serious when they said all these stupid or funny lines. Step aside The Room, Fast & Furious or even Death Race. This one takes everything to the next level. What I was really impressed with was the cast and cameos of has-beens’ and D-Listers. Who was your favourite? I know I was rooting for Neil deGrassi Tyson and glad he finally showed up but others were wrestlers and artists like Pepa, Neyo and the Renegade himself Lorenzo Lamas! The cheesy lines cracked me up, the tacky script and stolen signature lines from other movies just made my day. They even had Christine the car!

This is a pop-culture freak treasure trove! The ever evolving sharknado to firenado, oilnado, lavanado, hailnado, lightingnado … COWNADO! The outrageous ways sharks and people kill each other. Sharkzilla in Japan, Safarinado in Africa. Not sure what happened to Tara Reid’s face from the 5th one but hey.

They’ve worked with teams from NASA to Nascar. Even the hero and his sons name – Fin and Gil! I mean I’m going to have to watch it again with the wikipedia page open like it’s a roast. Some of the best mindless cinema to date.

PLANET OF THE APRILS!!!!
