   Comment: I Don’t Want What I Haven’t Got is a quality album but the track with the same name will put you to sleep. Am I Not Your Girl is one of them albums that in the start makes you go ‘what the funk?’ and slowly eases you in. What I’m trying to say is she’s switches to Jazz in this album. Success Has Made A Failure Of Our Home is pretty deep/emotional and Don’t Cry For Me Argentina (w/message) is more of a Jazz instrumental with a message at the end. The So Far album has most of her hits up to that time. Now the Faith & Courage album has more story to it… her artistic choices cost her some fans, then tabloids and other issues pushed her buttons which helped her churn this one out. The Lambs Book Of Life is so nice! Props go to her for showing both faith and courage in the album plus her versatility of bouncing between rock and reggae. Quite poetic and spiritual. Now for Sean-Nos Nua, I don’t know much about Irish tunes so all I can say is Skinhead O’Connor done taken some ol skool Irish classics and added her own make up to it. For some reason felt very Robin Hoody listening to this…? Ok moving on. Now for the album with the long a55 name. First off, the second CD is mostly tracks from Sean-Nos Nua (only its live). As for the first disc… so irritating coz there’s excellent tracks but can’t understand much and coz of her style, part of me wants to figure out what Sinbad O’Connor is all about. Collaborations 2005 has songs she’s featured in and its aiii. The Lion & The Cobra again an alright album. More versatility between genres. Her Universal Mother album shows off her voice best, as much as repetition gets to me Thank You For Hearing Me makes me wanna be her groupie!!! Then in Famine she goes Hip Hop with a ghetto poetry style philosophical rap (one of her most controversial songs… talking about there was no famine in Ireland and touching on the Black 47 events and more). Just when I thought I’s done with her albums I found her latest one… Throw Down Your Arms is a reggae album ok!

   Note: She ripped a pic of Pope dude the II on Saturday Night Live… her behaviour done pissed people off but lets face is she’s well versatile and a voice I didn’t mind hearing for 2 days constant. She loves wearing robes and mostly sports a skinhead or crew-cut. You cant really figure her out so don’t bother… back when I was being deported in 2000 I read this article on her where she preaches like a Rasta, loves the whole Rasta culture especially the weed and if I remember correct she’s lesbian… why I’m confused is coz lots of songs are love songs with men in them… so is she still a carpet muncher? Don’t think even she know if she’s in or out of the closet. The number of times she’s announced retiring is a whole ‘nother story. Big up Shinehead O’Connor!
