Silent Power by Stuart Wilde (Summary)

Contents and notes

1 The Getting of Wisdom: Talks about the etheric body of energy surrounding your body. Feel it, know it, direct it accordingly. Strengthen your psychological and emotional powers.

2 The Power Hungry – The Power Starved: Real power comes from self-mastery, grounded-ness, and inner security.

3 The Silent consolidation of Power: Analogy of walking as a controlled fall as your body leans. So lean into taking action, honouring what you have and achieved, design a life where you don’t need others – materially, emotionally, psychologically. There is a difference between asking for help dispassionately vs. leaning on someone.

An important first step in silent power is don’t lean.

4 Silent Talking: Don’t over-share, be succinct, don’t talk above people. Project love to the person you’re listening to. Cynic comes from a Greek word for dog as in dog-men who were not liked by others. Tricks on how to talk to the left and right brain for intellectual (short and grammatical) vs. feeling responses (baby talk). Exercise to take your etheric body and step back into the person you’re talking to, focus on their head and ask your silent question.

5 The Wisdom of Non-Action: The Taoist concept called Wu Wei, which is the notion of non-action.

6 Developing Subtle Feelings: Real power comes from quieting the mind and sharpening awareness, so you can access deeper, subtle feelings beyond ego-driven thoughts and emotions, and align with a truer inner knowing that shapes how life responds to you. Exercise to go to the mall and see what you can observe and take in. Author contradicts by saying not to judge and then judges by calling behaviour comical or entertaining.

7 Inside the Nature-Self: Your deep inner spiritual connection with the plant, mineral and animal kingdom. Reconnect with nature and recognise the unity with all life. Use the powers and summon your Captain Planet ;).

8 Extrasensory Etheric Perception: This also includes distant viewing when you get stronger with your etheric body. Paras note: When I read this it feels so woo-woo, but I’ve done these exercises through Lobsang Rampa’s books and others and it works.

9 Psychic Protection: Be internally stable, non-reactive and free of negativity, so other people’s energy has nothing to attach to.
